Behrouz Darvishzad, PhD

I am a geologist with a PhD and professional experience in subsurface studies, petrophysics, geological interpretation, and well log analysis. Throughout my career, I have worked with geological and geophysical datasets ranging from historical paper records to modern digital information systems. My experience includes well log interpretation, geological mapping, stratigraphic analysis, reservoir characterization, and scientific data management.

I founded WellogRevive to help preserve valuable subsurface information that remains trapped in scanned images, paper archives, and aging technical records. Many historical well logs contain measurements and observations that cannot easily be reproduced today, yet much of this information remains inaccessible to modern software and analytical workflows. My goal is to recover these records and transform them into accurate, structured digital datasets that remain faithful to the original geological information.

Unlike purely automated digitization services, my approach combines geological knowledge, petrophysical understanding, and careful calibration of historical records. Every log is reviewed according to its original structure, scales, depth references, and recording characteristics to ensure that the resulting data preserves the integrity of the original measurements. This approach is particularly important when working with complex historical logs that contain multiple curves, variable scales, distorted track geometries, or incomplete archival records.

WellogRevive was created with a simple objective: to preserve scientific knowledge and make historical subsurface data accessible once again for interpretation, research, education, and future geological investigations.
